BEFORE THE OFFICE, THERE WAS SERVICE. BEFORE THE TITLE, THERE WAS LEADERSHIP.
Leadership is not something one suddenly acquires when seeking public office. It is built through years of service, responsibility, sacrifice and the ability to represent people with courage and vision.
Long before the aspiration to represent the good people of Greater Awgu Federal Constituency, Enugu West Senatorial District, in the Federal House of Representatives in 2027, Emmanuel Chidera Franklin had already begun demonstrating his capacity for leadership.
In 2019, he served as President of the ESUT Students' Union Government (SUG), taking on the responsibility of representing students and providing purposeful leadership.
That same year, he served as President of the National Association of Aninri Students, bringing his leadership closer to the grassroots and demonstrating his commitment to the people of Aninri.
His leadership responsibility extended further as he served as National Secretary of the 17/17 Local Government Students' Association, contributing to a wider platform representing young people across the local governments.
He also offered himself for greater grassroots service as an Aninri Local Government Chairmanship Aspirant, further demonstrating his willingness to contribute to the development and progress of his people.
Beyond leadership, Emmanuel Chidera Franklin brings a strong academic and professional background. He holds B.Eng. and M.Eng. qualifications and is professionally associated with COREN and the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).
These are not merely titles.
They represent education, experience, professional competence and years of leadership.
Today, the aspiration is bigger.
The goal is to take that experience, youthful energy, professional knowledge and vision to the Federal House of Representatives, where the people of Greater Awgu Federal Constituency deserve stronger, more visible and effective representation.
We do not need leaders who only know how to campaign.
We need leaders who have learned to serve.
From ESUT SUG President, to National President of Aninri Students, to National Secretary of the 17/17 Local Government Students' Association, and to an Aninri Local Government Chairmanship Aspirant, the journey has consistently been about service, leadership and representation.
NOW, IT IS YOUTH O'CLOCK!
For too long, young people have been encouraged to stand on the sidelines, cheer from the crowd or become mere political sycophants instead of becoming active participants in shaping the future.
That time must end.
It is time for the youth to rise beyond applause and take their rightful place in leadership.
It is time for young people to bring fresh ideas, courage, innovation, competence and youthful energy to the table.
It is time for the leaders of tomorrow to begin leading today.
Our communities need revival. Greater Awgu, Aninri and Oji River deserve renewed energy, fresh thinking and purposeful representation. We cannot continue to accept stagnation when our people are yearning for opportunities, development and a better future.
We need a difference.
We need a new energy.
We need purposeful representation.
We need leadership that understands the present and is prepared for the future.
2027 IS NOT JUST ABOUT AN ELECTION. IT IS ABOUT A NEW GENERATION TAKING RESPONSIBILITY.
EMMANUEL CHIDERA FRANKLIN
